Kick-off: Film workshop with Leipzig scriptwriters and Polish film students begins in Łódź

On Sunday, 4th October 2009, the six winners of the scriptwriting seminar of the German Institute for Literature in Leipzig set off for the renowned National Academy for Film, TV and Theatre “Leon Schiller” in Łódź. Graduates of the Film Academy include Academy Award winners Roman Polanski and Andrzej Wajda but also exciting newcomers like Malgoska Szumowska (33 Scenes from Life).
During the six days of the workshop under the artistic direction of Robert Glinski and Cathy de Haan, the German scriptwriters will work with six teams of the Film Academy’s masterclasses for direction and production in order to further develop their scripts and to come up with concepts for the realisation of the short films.
