ANSICHTSSACHE 2 (2009)
This project - again- brings together the six best short film scripts - written by students from Deutsches Literatur Institut Leipzig (DLL) - Germany's only school for creative writing and - the inspiration of young filmmakers from internationally reknowned Polish National Film, Television and Theater School PWSFTviT, Lodz.
In July 2009 a jury composed of film experts: Frank Albers (Robert Bosch Stiftung), Dr. Markus Görsch (Mitteldeutsche Medienförderung), Prof. Sabine Scholl (DLL), Dr. Christian Lüffe (Goethe Institut), Annegret Richter (Filmfest Dresden) and Dr. Cathy de Haan (DLL) nominated six screenplays from the output seminar on „Scriptwriting" in the summer term of 2009.
During a one week workshop in Lodz, students of directing and production departments of PWSFTviT - Justyna Tafel, Matej Bobrik, Igor Chojna, Piotr Litwin, Mark Wegner und Bartosz Warwas - and the authors from Leipzig - Olga Grjasnowa, Judith Keller, Isabelle Lehn, Kathrin Schadt, Michael Felker und Janko Marklein - build six teams and worked on the scripts to get them ready for shooting. They had to face a double challenge: to work inter-disciplinary and think crossculturally.
The six short feature films will be produced in Poland from November 2009 till February 2010. The Young directors and producers will be supported by their artistic supervisors - PWSFTviT professors.
The finished films will be presented at various international film festivals and special events from April 2010 on. The special showcase of all six films is scheduled during the International Filmfest Dresden where the young filmmakers from PWSFTviT will be invited.
